This eight‐week intensive Spanish language and culture program has been designed jointly by Seattle University and the Universidad Pontificia of Salamanca (Spain), the objective is for students to acquire and develop competency in Spanish as a Second Language. Upon successfully completing the summer program at the Pontificia, students will earn 15 Seattle
University Spanish Language and Literature credits at the 300 level. The 15 credits earned in Salamanca will satisfy the Study Abroad requirement for a minor in Spanish.
This program will allow the students to acquire and develop gradually and with regard to their original level, the four language skills: written comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and oral expression. Each student’s level will be determined by means of a level test on the first day of the course.
